Freeze Club Teams

The Freeze Volleyball Club season offers an unparalleled opportunity for athletes to develop their skills and compete at the highest levels. Running from November through April to June, depending on the team and level, our club teams are designed to provide a structured, competitive environment for players seeking to take their game to the next level.

To ensure the best fit for each player, we offer three distinct levels of competition:

  • National Teams: For athletes ready to compete with a more rigorous training and competition schedule. National teams will travel more frequently and participate in larger tournaments, including Nationals in June.

  • Regional Teams: A great option for those looking to further their skills and compete with a slightly more balanced schedule. Regional teams travel less, with 1-2 travel tournaments within the Midwest region, providing a competitive experience without extensive travel commitments.

  • Local Teams: Designed for players who are continuing to build their skills while gaining valuable team experience. Local teams do not travel outside of Minnesota. 12s teams are usually local teams.

While many people wonder if they can choose which level their child plays at, our experienced coaching staff makes that decision based on the best fit for the team and players. It’s important to know that the best team in an age group isn’t automatically placed in the National category. Our Regional teams, which are competitive with a balanced travel schedule, make up most of our program and offer a fantastic experience. National teams are more rare, and we only place a team in this category if they are ready to commit to a longer season with more extensive travel. During the tryout registration process, we ask for your preferences regarding travel to help us understand if an National team is something you would be willing to participate in, or if you prefer a team with less travel. Local teams focus on growth and skill-building while playing locally. We make these decisions with the goal of ensuring each team is placed in the right category for their skills and goals.

  • National apparel package: 3 jerseys, 1 short, 1 warm-up suite (sweatshirt and sweatpants) 1 practice t-shirt, and a backpack.

  • Regional apparel package: 2 jerseys, 1 short, 1 warm-up suite (sweatshirt and sweatpants) 1 practice t-shirt, and a backpack.

  • Local apparel package: 2 jerseys, 1 short, 1 practice t-shirt and a backpack.

  • Additional apparel items like extra practice t-shirts, warm-up suits, shoes, kneepads and fan gear will be available for purchase.

Everything is covered in your team fees except travel costs. Why aren't travel costs included? Many parents travel to watch their daughters compete out of town. For this reason, we prefer to give parents the choice to room with their daughter and make their own travel arrangements. This saves money in the long run because families don't have to pay for their daughter's travel/lodging within team fees and in addition pay for their own travel. Parents also have the option to use frequent flyer miles, hotel rewards, etc. Since the players room with their parents and not 3 other players, the girls usually get more sleep and perform better!
